Web articles are in high demand: can you create them?
The Web is built on words, and everyone wants articles. Unfortunately, if you're a new writer, it's challenging because it seems as if no one wants to pay for your articles. Who can live on $3 per article?
Once you get beyond beginner status, you realize that there's
big money in articles, because at the higher levels, buyers are more than happy to pay you well. Indeed, you can live very well writing just one article a week.
Happiness is getting $1 a word for your articles, right?
Yes... BUT you can't jump off the treadmill.
If you stop writing articles, your income stops.
In the 1980s and 1990s, I wrote magazine articles. It was fun, but also highly stressful. The fun part was selling articles to magazines like
Vogue and
Cosmopolitan. The stress was coming up with ideas and then writing the articles.
I felt like a hamster on a treadmill; I was running very hard to stay in the same place. Although I was my own boss, writing articles was just a job. I wrote, or I starved.
It took me a long, long time to see that there's a huge difference between a JOB, and a business.
